Floods smashed entire villages, damaged crops and killed domestic animals by the thousands.

Tens of thousands of people have joined an army of more than one million homeless Ukrainians as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka dam on the Dniepr River in south-eastern Ukraine.

There are no reports on casualties yet.
